Show Walter E. Beaty Walter E. Beaty, age 74, died September 12, 1996 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was bom July 30, 1922 in York, Pennsylvania to Walter E. and Matilda Stein Beaty. He was,a United States Navy Veteran of WWII. Walt served many years as a Kane County EMT and as a member of the Kane County Search and Rescue. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in San Pasqual and Pasadena, California; the Masonic Social Club of Kanab; the International Brotherhood of Electricians Wilfred Eber Edwards Union for 40 years; the Kanab Wilfred Eber Edwards, bom Aero Club; and served on the Board of Directors for the N avion September 29, 1915 in Enid, Oklahoma, passed away at his Society. Young Julia Heaton Young passed away at her home in Kanab on September 11, 1996. She was born November 13, 1916 in Kanab to Israel Hoyt and Charlotte Cox Heaton, the eighth of ten children. She married Clyde Riggs Young, March 12, 1935 in Kanab. Their marriagewas later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Julia was active in the LDS Church. She served in all the organizations of the Church as well as serving with her husband in the St. George Temple for four years as an ordinance worker. They were called to serve together in the branch presideny of the Kaibab Indian Branch and the Grand Canyon North Rim Branch. She was always involved in community cultural activities and was especially remembered for her musical talents: singing, acting in plays, and playing her violin. Julia was a loving wife, an exceptional mother, and a devoted grandmother who received joy from being with her family. Survivors include her husband Clyde of Kanab; children: Clyde Romel Young of Henderson, Nevada; Venita (Kenneth) Boren ofCedar City; Julia Veon (Monte) Burton of St. George; Carla (Mont) Griffiths of Fredonia; Charlotte (Lee) Greenhalgh of ter, bricklayer and sheetmetal man.
