Minutes of the Western Kane County Special Service District Board members present: Joe Judd, Orval Palmer, Gene Russell, Viv Adams, Wilbur Covington, J. D. Maxwell; also, Nyle Willis, Chris Engstrom, Jerrol Leavitt, Randy Cram. Randy Cram reported that he had the equipment available to place a message on the transmitter that feeds the Cedar Mountain area to say that the signal was being discontinued due to lack of funds. Jerrol Leavitt requested additional help due to the demands of additional solid waste in the area. It was decided that the season was winding down and that the personnel needs of the District will be reviewed by the board next spring. A resolution 1995-- 1 was passed which adopts a fee to be charged for the repair of dumpsters damaged by the customer. A motion was made, seconded, and passed to approve a contract with Brian Bremner to do whatever engineering, etc. that was necessary to have the Utah Department of Solid and Hazardous Waste issue permits to operate the two landfills owned by the District. The contract will be modified to compensate Mr. Bremner $20,000 for the successful permits but that all additional costs will need to be approved by the board. A motion was made and passed to add Wilbur Covingtons name to the signature cards at the bank to co-sion District checks. A list of expenditures was discussed and the board voted to approve them. gn |
