Kanab Area Physicians Calendar Dr. Anderson-Orthope- dic Dr. Dr. Olson-Podia- tric Dr. Peterson-Ea- r, Dr. Phillips-Radiolog-ist Knibee-Rheumatolo- Alice Vitacco Lilian Alice Baker Wison Vitacco, age 85, died of natural causes at her home east of Kanab on April 22, 1995. Alice was bom November 30, 1909 in Mineola, New York to Edward Baker and Mary Lilian Landmann. Her father died before she was bom and at the age of four, she was adopted by her stepfather Thomas E. Wilson. Alice lived in New York and Connecticut, before moving to Orderville 28 years ago. She married Nick Vitacco and later divorced. She lived the past 15 years in Kanab and had many friends from the east to the west coast of the United States. Her greatest loves were painting and of southern Utah. the She had a great appreciation for the desert and its beauty, and often said that she would never trade a blade of grass from Utah, for anywhere else in the world. She is listed in Whos Who in American Art from 1936-193In accordance with Alices expressed and written desires, she was cremated and no services will be held. out-of-doo- rs 9. Jennie Hardy Jennie Alameda Shurtluff Hardy, age 82, died April 25, 1995, at the rest home in Kanab. She was bom July 17, 1912 in Ogd'an, Utah, to Annie Reeder and Ray Shurtluff. Jennie married Richard T. Hardy October 11, 1930 in Ogden, Utah. He died January 4, 1979 in Fallon, Nevada. She lived most of her life in Morgan, Utah, and moved to Kanab after Mr. Hardys death. & Nose & Throat Mrs. Hardy was a beautiful seamstress and loved to make clothes for her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed being a housewife. Survivors include her children: Sheren Pierson of Kanab, Val old-fashion- ed Hardy of Morgan, Utah; Richard Hardy of Hooper, Utah; Ray Hardy of Galdona, NV and Joan Pope of Hereford, AZ; a brother Ray Shurtluff of Eden, UT; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-fou- r and seven great, great grandchildren. Memorial services were held Friday, April 28 at the Kane County Rest Home. Graveside services will be held May 18, 1995, at 1:00 p.m. in the Fallon Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary. Jennies family would like to express deep appreciation to the nurses and Dr. Roberts for the loving care given to their mother and grandmother. They would also like to thank the friends and neighbors who have given support at her passing. Funeral services were held Monday, May 1 in the Fredonia LDS Chapel with burial in the Hurricane City Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary. great-grandchildr- en Edith Rosanne Williams Edith Rosanne Williams, age 56, died April 28, 1995, of cancer. She was bom May 22, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Evelyn Alice Loesel and Frederick Rex Williams. She received her masters degree from Utah State University in Agriculture and has always loved plants, flowers and animals. Edith was heavily-involve- d in the program for over 20 years. Survivors include her children; Valerie Mclntire 4-- H of Steamboat, AZ; Sandra Roger Jameson Roger Marx Jameson, 48, died Tuesday, April 25, in Las Vegas. A Marine Corps veteran, he was bom June 1 1, 1946, in Kanab, Utah. He served an LDS Mission in Japan. He was also an inter- preter at the Worlds Fair. Roger was a pilot for America West Airlines. He had also flown for Sun World and Continental, and had been director of safety for the McDonalds Corporation. Roger was a 15 year resident of Las Vegas. He was active in Eagle Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne of Las Vegas; sons, Scott of Provo; Bryan and Nathan, both of Lyndon, WA; Aaron and Roger, both ofLas Vegas; daughters, Amy of Lyndon, Rita and Jessica, both of Las Vegas; mother, Aston; and brother, Richard, both of Las Vegas; and sisters, Karen Hugh of Cedar City, and Joy Lea of Las Vegas. Services were held at the Mountain View Ward chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. Burial was in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
