Lisa Mane is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duncan J. V ervers and Mr. and Mrs. Mr. and MOCCASIN, Ariz. Mrs. Royce Rogers of Moccasin, Ariz., proudly announced the up- coming marriage of their son. Rich- - Funeral Services Honor Thomas Grant Robinson Eric M. Bryant The couple will wed Saturday, Aug. 20, in the Washington, D.C. LDS Temple. A reception will be held in the couples honor on Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 7 to 1 0 p.m. at the Church of Saints in Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Pittsford. An open house will also be held for the newlyweds in Moccasin on Friday, Sept. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rogers residence at 190 W. Center St. Richard Royce is a 1982 graduate of Fredonia High School. He served an LDS mission in Australia and is currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. The couple will make their home in Provo until Richard Royce completes his studies. Funeral services for Thomas Grant Robinson, age 84, were held Tuesday, August 9, 1988 at the Kanab Third Ward chapel with Bishop Dean Pepper officiating. Mr. Robinson was born February 22, 1904 in Kanab to Thomas Edward and Orpha Delaney Millett Robinson. He married Effie Phillips May 2, 1930 in Kanab and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Grant operated the Robinson Ranch up Kanab Creek Canyon both Indian jewelry. He also built his own homes. He loved playing pool and operated pool halls in Kanab for as a cattle ranch and a movie set. He also worked for the movies in Kanab for many years and conducted tours drive on horseback and to the Indian ruins, national parks and other places of interest in and around Kanab. He was a collector of Indian artifacts, Indian jewelry and petrified wood. He loved being in the and spent many happy hours gathering wood and exploring Kane County. Grant was always busy. He learned to make beautiful several years. He is survived by his wife, Effie of Kanab; his P. Robinson, Mrs. W.C. (Louise daughter, six Delain) Judd of Kanab, grandchildren:, Loyd C. Nash of Reno, Nev.; Lora Lee Byrom of Page, Ariz.; James T. Nash of Sun Valley, Nev., Earl C. Nash and Gary T. Anderson, both of redonia and Glenda L. Crofts of Mt. Marie Mousaw of 175 East 360 North, Kanab, has graduated from the U.S. Air Force law enforcement specialist course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Graduates of the course studied general law enforcement duties, tactics, weapons training, physical apprehension and restraint and earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Mousaw is a 1979 graduate of Kanab High School. BIRTHS Don and Carollee Jacobs are proud parents of a son, Spenser Douglas Jacobs, born August 2, 1988. He weighed 7 pounds and was 19V inches. She was the sixth of 12 children. She attended the local schools and sang in the operettas and also played violin in the high school orchestra. She and her husband, Boyd, grew up together; he was also the sixth of 12 children, LaVerde and Boyd had seven children, 4 boys and 3 girls and there are 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. They had a rock, sand and gravel business. Boyd learned how to do rock work w hen he worked at Zions. Much of the beautiful work in Zions was done by Boyd. They also built their own rock home in Kanab. Boyd died town council of 1912 pose at memory of those early politicians. They in 1969. LaVerde has served in all organizations of the church in various capacities. For the past ten years she has served in the St. George temple spending two nights a week there. She served an mission in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission from 1972 to 1974. Recently, LaVerde received a call to serve a year mission in the Family History Library in the Utah North Salt Lake Mission. Jay, were in Kanab this week to renew acquaintances and visit with friends of years ago. They are living in California. Eugene operated the newspaper in Kanab in the late 1 940s. His parents, Scott and Raelene, went also and were sealed at the same time. They were accompanied by Bishop Kelly and Marcia Cooper and many friends and family members. Ron and Vickie Parker and Vickie's mother, Delna Major, went to Malibu, Calif., to see their son Chance Parker, and grandson, graduate from Pepperdine College. Randy and Renae Mears and baby are moving to Salt Lake City where Randy will be employed by Hinckley Dodge. The Finley Buntings are enjoying a visit from their daughter, Lois, and husband, Howard, and two daughters, Megan and Lindsey from Phoenix. Gwen Collard is in a convalescent home in Colorado. Tom and Barbara Lawson have returned home after spending five weeks in Germany visiting their son, Kim, and family. They had a wonderful time sightseeing the castles along the Rhine River, in Bavaria, Hitlers hide-awaCastle, places of interest Ludwigs in Austria and Switzerland. Upon their return they attended Toms 50th class reunion from Davis High which was held at the University of Utah. Bessie Jardine and Bessie Dover stopped in to visit for a few hours with Ann Brown and Joan Lee, after attending the funeral of Sy Croft in Orderville. Florence Turley has returned to her home in Kanab after attending a family reunion in the northwest and visiting relatives in other places as well. Brett Johnson went to the St. George Temple to get his endowments before going on his mission. Several young people from Kanab, Fredonia and Orderville attended a three-daseminary leadership training workshop. The first day they traveled to Pine Valley for a workshop at the Pme Valley chapel. That evening they ate at the Gable House in St. George and then went to the temple to hear another speaker. All speakers and workshop leaders were institute and seminary teachers. They also did baptisms at the temple, held a testimony meeting and read the letters their parents had written to them.
