Venna and Neil Haynes and family went to St. George and also went motorcycle riding this weekend. Mary and Theone Riddle went to Cedar City to visit their daughter, Vicky Millett and family. Bessie Yazzie, Rose Haskie, a Mary Ann Haskie and Tsosi went to Page last week. Mattie Simpson visited her family on the reservation, also Gloria Ycllowhorsc and family. They also attended a jackpot rodeo in Flagstaff. Devon and Ellen Jackson weekspent a busy, four-daend in Salt Lake City visiting their daughters. Jacki and Jerri. Devon and Jerri were able to celebrate their birthdays together. Everyone attended grandson Ryan's Cub Scout Carnival. Deanna Hines and husband went to St. George and also Visited friends in Washington. Clcora Baylcs and husband enjoyed a weekend visit with their son. Kenneth, who lives in St. George. Melanie Spencer and husband w ent to Escalante to visit relatives. We'll say So long" until next week. Here's a closing thought. Drive by any afternoon and youll see our door wide open, letting in the fresh air and sunshine. Ginger Burns is at home recuperating from last weeks surgery. We wish her well and hope shell be able to return soon as we all miss her. Ann Anderson is on a leave of absence due to a bad knee injury. We hope she'll soon be able to throw away the crutches. Velma Pratt is also on a leave of absence because of back problem. She is sporting a neck brace and we hope shell soon be rid of it. Arda Vee Henrie had a special dinner party honoring out of state friends who are visiting in the area. Virginia Gordon and husband, Jack, spent Wednesday and Thursday last week in Salt Lake City where Jack underThe went a medical check-up- . results were very good. Jacque Fellows went on a picnic to Zion Saturday where she and her friends enjoyed the sunny weather. " Roberta Pedefs is taking a leave of absence for the summer while she works at Grand Canyon as a river trip guide. The trips she works on last 18 days. We'll miss her and hope she returns after an exciting summer. Rosita Watson spent the weekend at the reservation where she was excited to see the new black filly colt her horse had Recently. She also went on a cattle round-up- , bringing in all the new born calves. Now that is a sure sign of spring. In presentations about thermal power the Roosevelt Hot Springs area near Milford was discussed as the main possibility for thermal power at present. Again as in other meetings concerning power, the opinion was voiced by the experts' that there is none, nor will there be, such thing as cheap power anymore, but there may be power cheaper than some other supplies. They also suggested that there are ways to control somewhat the costs.
