Both spent most of last week helping care for him at his home in St. M-M- en George. Word was received here of an automobile accident Monday which injured Vern Haines near Denver, Colo., where he had gone to get his son. He is in the hospital there. The American Legion Auxil-i- a held a meeting Monday night at the home of Pres. Della C. Troy and selected two girls to go to girls state. We feel if we can send these girls we are doing a worth while project. Our unit is small and we have a rather hard time raising the money, so if anyone has a few cents to spare, Im sure it will be appreciated. We are planning a whale of a night of fun in the near future. Watch for the date and plan to come enjoy yourself and help the Auxiliary send the girls. I was in Kanab Wednesday and I must say the people there are really observng their clean up week, the streets I was on, really looked good. Why not all the communities follow suit, Im sure it would make us lots happier and our towns a lot cleaner and more pleasant, not just for the tourists, but for we folks who live in them. n George.
