He was the musical designer for A Christmas Carol and the vocal director for The Secret Garden. Barnes is currently directing Nunsense, a musical comedy by Dan Goggin, which has correlated with SUUSA ThunderWeek activities. He said that this is the best show he has ever directed. By ANNA TURPIN JOURNAL ARTS EDITOR Brent Barnes loves the stage, it seems clear. He said he likes to push himself, stretch his capabilities and grow each time he comes in contact with the stage. Barnes has been familiar, to say the least, with the “I have loved working with this cast. They are a group of incredibly talented women. Though Nunsense wasn’t his first choice, he said he is very grateful for the performing arts since he was eight years old.
