Today it isnt a pair anymore. Rick and those that buddy with him around Willard Bay or Pine View Reservoir are enjoying the entire setting slalom skiing. His favorite ski site is Flaming Gorge where the mountains protect skiers from the wind. Skiing in the summer hasnt really increased in popularity, said Rick, I think the gas shortage has a lot to do with that. Its not really important to have a good looking boat anymore because those kind of people who have them only go out once or twice and its not really worth it to them. Rick, who also snow skis, says about the only similar thing between the two sports is just keeping your balance. Professionals may see more similar things, but thats all Ive noticed, he said. To become professional at the sport isnt really in Rick's plans, but only to have a lot of fun. "Thats all there is to it. Some people get their kicks from playing tennis, golfing or something else, but interests are out on the water. he concluded. jny |
