Eric would have to average 166 yards a game through the final nine games of the year to tie Adams mark; after two games this year nes averaging 291.01 Taking this whole thing one step further, were Hippie to average 246 yards a game passing, he would equal Adams record (2,797) set during that 72 campaign. The fact so many local players now participate with major universities serves the notice of the quality of coaching and attitude of local people towards sports. Both Weber and Roy Highs have three imp stars presently playing on the Aggie football team. Most noted of the six is candidate Rulon Jones who is a former Warrior. A Rulon Jones, likely, few predicted Jones greatness four seasons ago when he arrived in Logan as a freshman defensive tackle. But nearly 60 pounds and 33 varsity games later, he has reached a plateau which legitimately qualifies him as one of USUs top all time defensive linemen. That is why Too Tough as his teammates call him is USUs honors. I honestly cannot candidate for think of anything about his ability or the way he plays which displeases me, said Head Coach Bruce Snyder. He has a tremendous attitude about getting to the football. He truly thinks he can make every play. Physically, considering all he has going for him, he'll scare you to death. Thats what happens this year as Fosmark moves into the starting center spot for the departed Ernest Aalona. Hes paid his dues at USU and now hes ready, said Coach Snyder. Mark is described as consistent, and smart offensive lineman who shows championship practice habits. Mark enjoyed an exceptional round of spring practices and it appears the Ags will be as strong at the position this year with Fosmark the starter as they were last fall. Mark reshirted in 1977 and pushed Aalona all last year for the starting spot. Mark is a former member of Roys region championship team. Clint Farmer At Roy, Clint captained the Royals of Roy High in a region championship year. He moved from his defensive tackle position to an inside linebacker at Utah State.
