The Utah Symphony will be performing for Roy High students on Monday, Oct. 9 in the auditorium at 9:20 a.m. Then on Wednesday, Oct. 11, the U.S. Air Force Jazz Ensemble Will be performing for the students at 1:30 p.m. For Roy High seniors who have registered for the Oct. 21 ACT Test, there is a preparatory class offered, which began Tuesday. On the following Tuesdays, Oct. 10 and 17, two other classes will be offered seniors to prepare them for the test beginning at 7 p.m. in Room 118 at the high school. Four members of the faculty will be going over tests in the four areas that are covered on the test. Larry Wilson will review math problems; Brett Moulding will cover the science area; Larae Larkin drill students for the history portion of the test; and Dave Ashworth will review the english section. will Math instructor Larry Wilson said that those who missed the first class can get a hold of the teachers for copies of the tests reviewed class. during the The next ACT test will be given on Dec. 9, and seniors should register for this test, if they wish to compete for scholarships. Wilson said that most scholarships have a deadline of Feb. 15 and students interested should take the ACT test in December to have their results back in time for this deadline. PTA drive dated The annual membership drive and the Utah Liberty Bell Fund Raising are the two projects currently underway by the Riverdale School PTA, according to PTA Jane Salisbury, president. The state of Utah has obtained a replica of the original Liberty Bell. The school children have been given the opportunity of each one paying 25 cents to raise funds to erect a tower for it in Memory Grove at Salt Lake City.
