Even the lines are out of proportion. The chains at the sidelines indicated that Bonneville had to get within 18 inches of the goal for a first down, but when the measurement was made at mid-fielthe first down mark came within six inches of the goal Coach Tom Budge complained about the condition of the field before the game, as did one of the Layton coaches, but he would not mention that as a reason for losing the ball game. Bonneville must now regroup and prepare for a home game against the Bob Cats of Sky View. Skyview lost to Roy and Clearfield, and had a 0 win at home over Viewmont last week. The previous week, Sand Ridge slipped past Wahlquist Junior for a 0 win also. Some of the outstanding plays were made when Sand Ridge quarterback Brian Durbano threw two passes to tightend Bart Hadley, one for 30 yards and one for 45 yards and then a touchdown. Thursday saw action for the Sand Ridge Junior Girls Softball team, who played rival Roy Junior at Sand Ridge Park. The Scorpions lost the ballgame although some outstanding performances were turned in by Ranae Owens, Jill Belnap and Janice Corbridge. 6-- 0. Now is a great time of year to visit State park areas. The weather is cooler and the parks are less crowded. A visit to Dead Horse Point State Park would surely enlighten any trip. Thompson, son of Jan Smith of 815 W. 4400 S., Riverdale, has completed recruit training at the Naval Training Center, San Diego. During the eight-wee- k training cycle, he studied general military subjects designed to prepare him for further academic and training in one of the Navy's basic occupational fields. Included in his studies were 85 dose-orde- seamanship, r drill, Naval history and first aid. He joined the Navy in July 1978. Serviceman graduates SAN ANTONIO Sergeant Janice R.
