Mrs. Winberg and Mrs. Jenkins are sisters. They attended the ward dinner Saturday evening during which David Jenkins his Eagle Scout received award. rg Sympathy is expressed to the family of Grant Turner. Mr. Turner, 83, died Oct. 5. He was a longtime resident of Sunset. He is survived by one brother, Bud Turner of Raytown, Mo., and a sister Mrs. Ruby Flinders of Modesto, Calif. Funeral services were held Thursday in Ogden with Darrell Draper of the Sunset 2nd Ward officiating. Burial was in the Clinton Cemetery. The Charles Thompson family visited in Gunnison over the weekend with Mrs. Thompsons parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Jorgenson. A family dinner in honor of Mr. and Mrs. F.d Daines was held Sunday following conference at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Valentine, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daines. The Daines are now serving on an LDS mission in South Dakota coming here for special instructions presented at the conson-in-la- w ference. The Daines left to return to South Dakota Monday. Dennis and Deon Harvey have a new son born Oct. 6. George Leavitt of Honolulu, Hawaii visited in our area last weekend with relatives, Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Hammon, Mrs. Cassie BrenchleyandMr.and Mrs. Thomas Brenchley of Roy. The application was filed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers to obtain the tract for construction, operation and maintenRiance of the Pershing-Gree- n ver missile launch facility approximately four miles southeast of the city of Green River. Comments or objections concerning the proposed withdrawal may be sent before November 1, to Robert D. Nielson, BLM Utah state director, P.O. Box 11505, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. The withdrawal would pre- clude appropriation of the affected lands, under any public land laws including the mining , laws and mineral leasing laws. I Mr. Nielson explained.
