Mr. and Mrs. Charles Child, who recently moved from Hooper to Duchesne, visited with friends and relatives here last week. Their three children were with them. Clyde and Helen Lowe will leave this week fer Boston, Mass., to represent Weber County at the National Farm Bureau Convention. Paul Thompson of West Warren, who won the Farm Bureau speech contest, will travel with them. They are going by train with aboot 80 other farm bureau representatives from Utah. Their trip will include visits in New York, Washington D.C., Niagara Falls and Hill Cumorah. They will also spend a day at Chicago on the return trip. Their tour will last two weeks. Mildred Craythorne entertained a group of friends at her home last Friday night. Bunco was the diversion of the evening and refreshments were served to the following guests: Donna Van Dc Graff, Wealthy Cottle, Gladys Frew, Arlene Weaver, Beth Hull, LaWana Hansen, Rosalie Hull, Elsie Cottle and Nedra Thurgood. Friday, Dec. 5, the Hooper School is sponsoring a Carnival. It is under the PTA. They will begin selling and serving dinner at 6 p.m. There will also be many booths and other activities. This is a fund raising project and the public is invited. Mr. and Mrs. George Leroy Beasley observed their 49th wedding anniversary Monday, Dec. 1. Dale Hadley, son of Dean and Ruby Hadley, is considered by his friends to be one of the luckiest boys in Hooper. In a recent breakfast cereal sweepstakes, by sending n a postcard with name and address, one became eligible to win a mattel gun.
