Show "V - Dud Dornos UJino In Sodden Death Ployoff Twenty-tw- o players turned out for the We Care benefit hosted by the Milford Mens Golf Association at the local course last Saturday. One -- hundred dollars was donated to We Care according to John Maxey, hospital administrator. First place winner in low gross was Bud Barnes. Barnes tied with Dave Pullem at 59 and the two played a sudden death playoff. Low net first place winner was Second place low Dave Pullem. gross was won by Jack Erwlg and second place low net was won by Bob Davis. Trophies were awarded first ard second place winners. Ken Holm won the prize for being closest to the hole on number four, at 16 inches. The money donated to the We Care group goes to pay tor food, heat and medical bills of needy people in Milford. The Milford Course is In beautiful shape for early in the year, and plans are well unde rway to com -plete the final four holes this year. Some ground work Is already being done. LuDean and Elmer Barnes are managing the municipal course this year and had it In excellent shape for this tournament. Many more tournaments are planned for the season, and the course is open daily for play. The White Team won by a score of 36 to 27. Ryan Willden was the high point man for the Red with 14 and Matthew Dotson with 18 for the White. Both teams looked aggressive for their first game. The second game of the night was the Maroon, coached by Joe Puffer. They played the Blue coached by Gary Mayer. Both teams hustled and made some nice shots. The Maroon won by a score of 44 to 23. Gene Patterson had 18 for the Maroon and Robby with eight for the Blue. On Thursday night April 26, Little League Basketball continued with the Red Team playing the Blue Team. The Red Team was the winner with a score of 27 to 18. The sacrifices made by these men and women are reflected in the United States. If not for the reruns of MASH, it seems our struggles and victory there would be virtually forgotten.
