Show Ik if Staling Scholar A years collection of the Beaver County News. As I was cutting out articles and pictures, I cam across a picture of Sara Hulet, who was honored at the Parowan Stake Visiting Teachers Convention on Feb. 17, 1983, and that she was 94 years old. I blow that my Catherln Melissa Daileys maiden name was Hulet. I got out my family book "Cyrus Hulet and his descendants complied and edited by J. Phillips Hanks, 1980. And sure enough Sara was in the book. She was married to Rupert Wallace Hulet who was the son of great-grandmot- my Daileys great-grandmot- brother Charles Franklin Hulet. I looked In the phone book In the Parowan listings and I called a couple of Hulet phone numbers and received no answer. The third number 1 called, a nice little voice answered and to my delight It was Sara. I told her I wanted to come see her and that's just what Jim and I did Monday. Sara lives with her son Ralph and wife Carma. She has two rooms on the 6ide of the home for her own. Sara turned 95 JanShe was born In uary 2, 1984. Thank you for the nice visit, Sara. With last week being so cold, I called upon our weather man Gary Malchus for some Information. Gary told me in 1906 when they first started listing records it was called the Civil Aeronoutics Administration, now called the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The building was 34 mile from the city dump. The coldest ever recorded there was --34 on January 9, 1937. The coldest record at the present site was -- 32 on December 10, 1972. I believe that was the time we had -- 42 out here In the valley. We have a temperature gauge In our car and there is 5 to 7 degrees difference from town and the valley. So far this year, 1984, on January 18 it was -- 20, set a day record. January 20 it was -- 12 a day record, and January 21 it was -- 11 a day record.
