Jones Alice Scott dies in nursing home Alice Louise Pace Scott, age 70, of Vernal and Roosevelt died Sept. 21, 1985 in a Roosevelt nursing home. She was born Nov. 6, 1914 in Negley, Texas to Joseph Patrick and Nannie Tippett Pace. She married Elmer Odell Scott Sept. 28, 1931 in Slim, Okla. He died right-of-wa- 355-288- Funeral services were held for Pearlis Caroline Taylor, who died Sept. 16, 1985, in the Lapoint Ward Chapel on Thursday, Sept. 19, 1985. Bishop Reid Johnson presided and counselor Elroy Walker conducted. The family prayer was given by Lyle C. Taylor. Prelude and postlude music was by Julia Taylor. The invocation was given by Clyde Collins and a musical selection by Cal Huber, How Great Thou Art, was sung. Remarks were given by counselor Elroy Walker. Cotterell, 76, a long time resident of Flaming Gorge Pines, died at his home in Eugene, Ore., Aug. 31 after a short illness. He was a graduate of LDS High School in Salt Lake City and the University of Southern California law school in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a great sportsman and n brought many people to Flaming Gorge to enjoy the beautiful the Los Angeles Country Club. He was vice president of Oviatts Stores and managed the Beverly Wilshire store. He is survived by his wife and two children.
