Show SUNDAY SERVICES last sunday the services in the tabernacle were given over to hearing from returned missionaries the speakers were elders peter H sorensen and N L hansen the former related some of his experiences as president of the alie aarhus conference and outlined the policy pursued by the missionaries in spreading the gospel in that part of denmark ile he also gave a doctrinal talk on the first principles of the gospel and the necessity of latter day saints living up to their professions elder hansen briefly pointed out some of the interesting scenes scene along his journey from brigham to copenhagen and his work in the copenhagen conference ile he then took his hearers on a hurried trip down thru ahr ge germany belguim Belg BeIg ulm france and over to egypt getting as far as the great pyramids where he was compelled to le leave ave them on account of the time hav having ing been far spent president oleen N stohl presided and the meeting opened with the choir singing the hymn hall hail to the brightness of zions glad morning prayer was offered by elder C ellas elias jensen jensee after which the choir sang hymn ye children of our god the sacrament was administered by the bishopric of the third ward during the passing of which elder A al M merrill read the ath chapter of the doctrine and covenants and mrs connie tl peters sang the perfect day the closing song was the hymn sweet Is the he peace and the benediction was renounced by elder C olsen |
