NOTICE OF MEETING CHANGE 7.5-minu- te PUBIC NOTICE Livestock brands must be renewed by year end Utah livestock owners who have a brand or earmark registered with the Utah Department of Agriculture must renew it in 1990 or lose claim to it. Terry Menlove, UDAs bureau chief of animal identification, recently cautioned that owners have only a couple of montha in which to take care of the renewal. About 70 percent of all Utah brands and earmarks on record have been renewed since notices began going out in the mail in early 1990, he said. Every fifth year, UDA requires all brands and earmarks in the state to be renewed in an effort to keep the records current. The renewal process also makes old brands which are no longer in use available to new lives- tock owners.
