Im sure many of you are saying, I know that guy, hes the guy who called some of the ball games at Carbon High." Im not afraid to make the calls or decisions when they need to be made. Many decisions will need to be made in the next few years in our school district. Im not afraid to make those decisions. I was bom in Price and raised in Green River. My wife, Suzanne, and I moved here 10 years ago. We have four children. I have children in the school system and will have for many years. I am a graducate of CEU and also went to school in Atlanta, Ga., majoring in business management. I worked in the coal industry in Price for two years, then became employed with Koret of California. I am presently the plant manager. I understand the economic situation we have in our county. I pledge to continue to carefully spend those precious tax dollars of our citizens. I am directly responsible for the $2 million dollar budget with Koret. I feel if we carefully monitor the school 'districts budget, it is possible to put more money in the classroom. My priority is in the classroom. I firmly believe in an open door policy. I can be reached any time of the day or night. I enjoy talking with the parents in the school district. I would like to see more public meetings, so together we can talk about the things that are taking place in the classroom. Its very important we hear the views of all our citizens. I would invite and encourage parents to be involved. Ive enjoyed being a member of the Carbon County School Board this past year. I appreciate the hard work and dedication that has been given to our children by the administration and most importantly, the teachers of the district. Im proud of our schools.
