Sgt. Dea Thayn Mace Jensen earns his Eagle badge Jensen, son of Roland and Linda Jensen, has earned Mace the Eagle Scout award. Mace belongs to Troop 997 and has received 31 merit badges and the bronze and gold palms. Mace helped promote the Cystic Fibrosis Drive in the Price area for his service project under the supervision of John and Beverly Marshall. Mace attends Helper Junior High and is a member of the Red and Black Club and Honor Society, in recognition of his citizenship and academic achievement. and Deputy Scott Henrie have arrested three suspects in connection with a burglary incident at a cabin belonging to Lynn M. Carlson. The cabin is one of the dwellings m the Scofield Campsite Subdivision that were burglarized during the holiday period. Carlson initially reported the incident to Henrie on May 6, the date the owner first returned to Scofield and discovered the burglary. Carlson provided the deputy with a list of missing property in addition to the serial numbers on some of the stolen items. Total value of the missing property was estimated at $2,000. Conducting a preliminary investigation into the burglary report, Henrie contacted pawn shops in the county. After the local check produced negative results, the deputy listed the missing property with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). On Aug. 10, Detective Scott Carter of the Utah County Sheriffs Office contacted the local sheriffs department with information pertaining to the case. Executing the warrants on Sept. 26, Thayn and Henrie arrested Alden Deray Stick-ne- y (19, Payson) and Bradley McKay Gull (19, Provo) in Utah County and Jim J. Johnson (19, Murray) in Salt Lake County. The suspects were transported back to Price and booked into the county jail on two felony charges, theft and burglary of a dwelling. The Seventh Circuit Court approved Gulls and Johnsons releases from custody. However, Stick-ne- y remained incarcerated in the local jail pursuant to a hold request from Utah County. According to Thayn, the three suspects have only been charged in connection with the Carlson incident. He said the sheriffs office is actively continuing its investigation into the other burglaries in the Scofield area. Theater group to meet Oct. 9 Castle Valley Community Theater will hold its monthly meeting Monday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. All members of valley Colleen Cave to seek Wellington council post investigation in Utah County on an unrelated criminal matter had admitted involvement in the Scofield burglary. Entwistle was injured Sept. 6 in an automobile accident in Utah County. She has been in a coma ever since at the University of Utah Medical Center. She was a teacher in Carbon County for almost 30 years. A PLAN FOR HANDICAPPED APPROVED BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT Utah State Office of Education announces that the Utah State Plan for Education of the Handicapped, under auspices of Public Law Part B (EHA-B- ) has been approved by the Office of Special Education Programs, U.S. Department of Education. The State Plan covers Fiscal Years 1990-9- 2 and its approval allows transmittal of Utahs Federfunds authorized al EHA-94-14- 2, (county law enforcement officers) have strong evidence linking a suspect in the Carbon County area to the other burglaries in Scofield, the sergeant explained.
