Show Sun Advocate, Price, Utah 5 Thursday, October 5, 1989 BLM The construction of livestock reservoirs continues to be the grazing priority for the Bureau of Land Management. Frank and Marie Mathis, of Price, are the marriage of their daughter, Laurie Amy Mathis, to Dondi Rasmussen, son of Tom and Bonnie Rasmussen, of Spring Glen, on Oct. 6 in the Manti LDS pleased to announce Jay S. Storrs has filed to run for the Wellington City Council. 50th anniversary The family of Devon and Rita Oldroyd are proud to announce their parents 50th wedding anniversary. Devon and Rita were married Oct. 1, 1939 in Glenwood, Utah, at Devons grandparents home. Devon and Rita are the parents of four children: Beverly Branting, of Salt Lake City; Buddy Oldroyd, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; Barbara Lundell, of Salt Lake City; and Scott Oldroyd, of Spring Glen. Devon and Rita have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildre- n. Family members gathered Oct. 1 in Salt Lake City to honor Devon and Rita on their golden: wedding anniversary. Written tributes were given from each of their children and several of their close friends and relatives. Jay and his wife, Elayne, and their three children, Jenny, Jared and Stacey, moved to Wellington 6Z2 years ago when he joined the Farmers Insurance Group. He had previously worked as a police officer for American Fork city for 10 years. Jay was bom and raised in American Fork. He served four years with the Air Force, which included duties in Labrador and Thailand. He has an associate degree in police science from Southern Utah State College, a bachelor of science degree from Westminster and attended BYU. He has served in various church positions in the Wellington LDS 3rd Ward, is a member of Rotary, where he was president during and is presently on the board of directors of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a committee member of the Demo 1986-198- 7, Temple. All friends and family are invited to attend a reception held in their honor that night from 9 at the Carbonville LDS Church. Dondi is a 1986 graduate of Carbon High and served an LDS mission in Dallas, Tex. Laurie is a 1989 graduate of Carbon High.
