I was very impressed with the number of good people who were involved in bringing this success to Wellington. I think that Wellington should be congratulated for this great step into the future. They have accomplished something that cities ten times their size have not been able to do with the same success and essionalism. home and I was able to stop and pick it up on our way home. Not only did this dear person act honestly and caringly, she refused a small amount of money we offered for this kindness. Mrs. Vega told us that once before she had found a wallet with $1,000 in it, belonging to a BYU student and she had also returned this. This kind of honesty and kindness really restores faith in the goodness of people. Helper should be proud of having such a good citizen. I was quite distraught over the loss, feeling the chance for recovery was slim or none. You can imagine my excitement when Isabel Vega, a resident of Helper was jogging along the freeway and found my missing purse. Every survey has been done by a licensed land surveyor and over the last 2 years I have saved the county over $300,000 in surveying costs. Apparently money means nothing to Lynda and her supporters. Are the persons who encouraged the write-in- s doing so in the interest of Carbon County voters, or merely a point of view? Elected public officials and leaders of the parties have an ethical responsibility to support the winner of the primary election. This is not happening in Carbon County. Wade G. Hansen United Mine Workers not Intended to be broadcast, I have a good idea who is running the politics of Carbon County. The conversation was Lee Semken telling Calvin Black (Republican candidate for state senator) his whole picture on Emma R. Kuykendall (unprintable I might add), while the people listened accidentally. When just moments before Gary Rich announced he will run for county commissioner against Ms. Kuykendall, which was uncalled for and out of place at this ceremony. Now I ask myself who put Bob Olsen up to run against Lynda Varner, when some time ago Bob ran as a Republican? Is this a true Democrat or just a wolf in sheeps clothing? The Democrats of Carbon have made their County decision and to jump in now you are damaging the Democratic statute of Carbon County. Gary told us that he thought an election was not decided in the primary but was decided in the general election. Are the voters in the county not smart enough to select the proper candidate for the general election? Wake up Carbon County 1 A good deal on a great tire.
