Of those 42 that went, 34 placed in the meet. Schools Sophia Kokatisdes, High, Mont Harmon and Helper Jr. Highs from the local area along with Payson, Provo, Spanish Fork, Springville and Pleasant Grove. In the girls shot put, Claudia Christensen placed third and Jackie Mitchell placed fifth. In the boys division of the shot put, Todd Gaskin placed third and Chad Keele placed fifth. Gaskin placed first in the discus while Benji Frame placed third. A third place was earned in the 400 relay by the team of Michelle Montez, Michelle Riche, Jeanine VanWagoner and Monica Cunningham. A fifth place went to the team of Michelle White, Stephanie Grahm, Sohpia Kokatisdes and DeDe Temple.
