Show THE GREEN SHEET , Th MILESTONES Patricia Matz Althora Sizemore Honored On 80th Birthday The children of Althora Pyper will honor their mothers 80th birthday at a dinner party on June 25 at the Sizemore Chuck-A-Ram- a. mother and infant sister died and many responsibilities fell to Althora and her sisters. She learned skills such as cooking, keeping house, laundry and child care very early in her life and they all worked to keep the remaining family functioning. Althora married Devar Sizemore in Salt Lake City on August 19, 1927 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The Sizemores moved to Utah where Devar Bacchus, worked at Hercules Powder Co. , which later became known as Hercules Inc. Bacchus Village was their home for 27 years, then, because of a water shortage, it became necessary to relocate so they built a home in Granger, which is now in West Valley City. Althora was employed at Eimac for many years, and she still meets once a month for lunch with several friends she made there. Although widowed in 1979, Althora leads a busy life.
