In the position of site manager for the day will be Betty Sudbury, in place of Jean Orton; Fern Lewellyn in charge of crafts, instead of Sherrie Jorgensen; and Leatha Colby will run the kitchen instead of Kathy Johnson. Tickets are $2 for adults, $1 for children and $7.50 for a family ticket. The men, and the wonderful Rodgers and Hammerstein music and lyrics stole the show. Cliff Cole was in good voice and gave us a charming, likeable Emile de Becque, handling equally well the .lovely "Some Enchanted Evening" and the duet, "Carefully Taught" with Jared Shaver who gave a sympathetic performance in the role of Lt. Cable. The most fun was offered by the mens chorus and their "Dames" and a blustery performance by Randall S. Although seeming a little nervous at times, she gave a good performance as the Navy nurse, out of her element in her romance with the. sophisticated de Becque. Cathy Kelly was a believable Bloody Mary with the shows best makeup job. It w'as hard to accept those cast as native girls, in costume but with no makeup. Even though they had very minor roles, blonde natives detract from the feeling of Bali Hai, and Kellys makeup was good enough to point the contrast. The orchestra, under the direction of Richard Chatelain did full justice to the music. Joanne Parker directs the musical with choreography by Marilyn Montgomery.
