The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace James and is also a 1980 graduate of Murray high. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in political science. Criss was captain of the Murray high track and cross country team, was state champion of the two mile, and held the state record of the one and two mile. Ryan David Smith Ryan David Smith, son of Steven and Marsha Smith of West Valley City, has recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop No 664 of the Hunter 10th ward, with Doug Harris as his Scout won the 1987 St. George Marathon in October of 1987 with a time of 2:1 5:1 5. He filled an LDS mission in Hong Kong from 1981 to 1983. Master. He has earned 21 merit badges and for his service project he had a pizza fundraiser and with the money purchased playground equipment and learning materials for the Family Shelter School.
