In what was termed to be the heaviest voting to date, five people were selected from a field of 18 candidates to hold seats on the Magna Senior Citizen Center Site Council. According to Jean Orton, site director, this years election also drew the greatest number of candidates for the positions since the center came into existence. Out of 250 people who are registered 174 cast ballots. The top vote getter was Fern Llewellyn who received 137 votes. Also elected was Lloyd Aagard, Gail Sadler, Marge Paulson and Jesse Payne. Holdover directors include Lee Orton, Betty Sudbury, Elise Nuesmeyer, and Floyd Nielsen. In an election of officers for the site council, Llewellyn was named Tuesday; ham potatoes augrautin with buttered peas, marinated carrot salad, chocolate pudding with topping and a parkerhouse roll on Wednesday; beef parmesan with scalloped potatoes, buttered cabbage, fruited jello with topping and white bread on Thursday; and southern fried chicken with biscuits and country gravy, greens, fruit salad, pie and a pan roll on Friday. All meals will be served with milk.
