The program, to be televised throughout the school every Wednesday, is designed to "make students more aware of what's out there in the world of work," said Elaine Burrows. director of Kearns highs Cope center. KEARNS. "We want our students to realize that it is very important that they prepare while in high school for the life ahead. " said Mrs. Burrows. "We want them to see how their many varying interests can lead to a wide choice of career or job opportunities. that they have many, many more opportunities than had their grandparents, or even their parents." Eight Schools participate in the Green Sheet Performing Arts Awards program, climaxing in early May with an Academy-Awartype program which includes scenes trom the shows as well as presentation of awards.
