The second annual family fun run and mental health fair will be held Saturday at Wasatch Canyon Hospital, 5770 So. 1500 West. This event is being sponsored by Wasatch Canyon Hospital and the Murray Boys and Girls Club. Activities have been developed to foster family interaction and recreation. Events of the day are as follows: 8 a m., 5K run registration; 9 a.m., 5K run begins; 11 a m., kids dashes: noon, food service begins, Joe Muscolino lawn concert begins, and The sponsors of the event want to get the public thinking about family togetherness and recreation. Both the Murray Boys and Girls Club and Wasatch Canyon Hospital are excellent resources for the family, a spokesman pointed out. The Murray Boys and Girls Club offers a variety of youth services including free meals, recreational activities, tutoring, sport leagues and teen counseling. Counsel sessions involve such topics as decision making. substance abuse and teenage pregnancy. Wasatch Canyon Hospital is a 104 bed behavioral health campus which is owned and operated by Intermountain Health Care. Through a treatment y doctors, nurses, recreational therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists and educators, individuals are treated through specialty programming.
