Show THE GREEN SHEET Thursday, July 23, 1987 Molesfloinies Willis L. Jacobson Notes 90th Birthday Out My Window Ethel Bradford holding an open house on that same day, July 25th, 1987 to honor him. Friends and family are being invited to call at 1211 East 7800 South Willis Little Jacobson was born 90 years ago, July 25th, 1897, In the LDS settlement of Colonia Diaz, Chihuahua, Mexico and his family is someone take over his power' and apparently didnt even know they had a key to his back door. One of the committee stated, Worth and Poindexter gave the President Deniability with no Responsibility. Well, about now, Reliability" is what most politicians will be striving for, because they, as a group, have been hurt. ' I Of course, Rambo action" can be fun and exciting on the late night show, but who wants people like that running the countrys Foreign Policy? A Rambo in charge of your life? your future??? Scares the helly out of one. I'm surprised, even in this day of Rambo wor-shiat the hero image Oliver Sorth is recei ving. And I wonder how much worship he would get if he were short, 60 years old, bald, had difficulty speaking in' public and had not appeared in uniform with a chest of ribbons. So, thank you. That is why high officials are elected, not appointed, and part of their job is to keep track of mavericks who want to ride off on their own excursions. As a result. Congress, too, has been branded incompetent and inept. He, along with others, decided they n ere above the law and maneuvered to Congress and the President's public wishes. (What his private stand was we can only guess) Its frightening to realize that this is the very same route Hitler and his ilk took to get started toward dictatorship. Senator Hatch jumped quickly on the Rambo bandwagon, and excitedly told the world that he hoped Sorth would never be prosecuted and that he w ould do all he could to keep him from being prosecuted. " Hatch might have been wiser to wait to find out if anyone planned such action before getting steamed up. First, what bothers, me, is how much this investigation is costing. And how easy it would have been to prevent it. If, when Reagan tossed up his hands in seeming despair and said, I wish someone would tell me whats going on" .. . if Sorth, Secord and Poindexter had told him. Then and there it w ould all ha ve been over. I think w e all knew that Sorth was getting his orders from some superior, and that the committee would wait to find out who was the brains before planning prosecution. Hatch got a bit premature, I fear, but to be in front of rolling world-wid- e TV cameras must be a heady time for a politician and in the excitement he lost his If they w ere trying to protect the President ' as they say they would have spoken out then, and said, Mr. President, we may have been terribly w rong, but this is w hat w e did.'" The honored man was born to cool. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. By not doing so, they have made him seem both a liar and stupid. The Watergate term for what they did to him was let him twist in the wind. "And they call that protection ? James and Harriett Little Jacobson and they lived there until the Mormon Exodus of 1912. He has a great love for horses which began as a child in Mexico where he rode the range there as well as working as a cowboy in Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. But, this too will pass. Many times weve seen those under the age of maturity (physical or to proclaim their mental) w ear hats and hero worship and now this same age group will strive to be orth clones. But this will pass, this will! pass, this will pass, and hopefully. Sanity, Reliability and Responsibility will one day reign again in that unbelievable City by the Potomac. Besides all that, however, I don't believe them. Perhaps they didn't make black and white, from 2 to 4 in the afternoon. His daughters, Margaret Ann Jacobson and Verna J. (Mrs. C. Wayne) Garrett will host the event. in- itialed memos, but Reagan knew. I'd bet a bundle that he knew . And, if not, Reagan really is with reality.
