Tommy Ranson went 3x3 at the plate, backed up by Tony Pezely and Brady Gray.- In the second game, Taylorsville blanked Clearfield 23-- behind Brett McDermaid's pitching performance. Brad Parker and Patrick Johnson both had home-runhad a little bit Taylorsville tougher time with Hunter in the Pitthird game, finally winning cher Craig Smith also went 2x4 hitting. while Parker was 3x4 and McDermaid and Pezely both 2x4. In the year-oltournament, the Taylorsvilles Angels went undefeated to earn the championship in the title match played last Saturday. Both teams backed their pitchers by not committing an error in the field. Cyprus got a run in each of the second, fourth and sixth innings. Lohmeyer opened the second by singling then advancing on two pass ball and scoring on a Derek Hathaway single. In the fourth, Travis Bailey reached with a single and went to second on a pass ball then Hathaway stroked his second rbi single of the night. Trent Dea put on the capper with an rbi double in the sixth. Taylorsville had a man on base with two out and Kevin Quinn at the plate u'hen the rains came and forced a halt. For Howells, Inc., Kris Pasker and Steve Davenport posted doubles. In the nightcap, Geddes Lawn Care hammered out 10 hits to Mobiles six, but couldn't put the game out of reach, finally winning margin. Geddes by the one-ru- n stranded 11 baserunners. Murray came back in the top of the seventh when Bringhurst and Rion Thomas both singled and moved up on a ground out. Bringhurst scored on a wild pitch and Thomas then was caught in a run down futile squeeze play attempt but a throwing error allowed him to score the game winning run.
