Cheerleaders from high took first and third place at the region competition held at the University of Utah and will compete in national competition in Orlando, Florida Saturday. The Jayvee squad took first place , with the varsity team coming in third. "The hard work done by Granger cheerleaders has paid off and we are very proud of them, "said adviser Martha Coles. "Fashion Illusions is the theme of a fashion show to be presented by Valley junior high students ffrom 7 to 9p.m. Tuesday at the school. The show is a combined effort by students in the Home Economic departments and is under the direction of teachers Leigh Ann McCann, foods, and Christine Tolliver, clothing The script will focus on two girls, one well dressed, the other just back from a shopping trip but unable to pull a good look together from her purchases They will discuss what it takes to be attractively dressed. The show will be presented in four sections- fashion, how to create a wardrobe, mix and match, how to get the most for the fashion dollar; creating an illusion with line, color and proportion to appear taller or slimmer; and the designer collection. presenting clothing made in class Three iocal stores, the Copper Rivet. The juniors have been doing a lot of jumping and kicking this week after beating out the sophs and the seniors in Spirit Week. On top of that, this is Junior Week. Guys, you know what that means. Last, but most certainly not least, a warm Cyprus job well done to the Spinnakers, who once again represented both the school and the community very well. So, a Hee-Hasalute is definitely in order.
