Their children are: Dennis E. of Taylorsville; Reon (Mrs. Mike) Holden, Fairview, Utah; Thomas L. of Sandy and Roger V. of Bennion, Utah. They have ten grandchildren and three will always note that the guns and money he sent to Iran are already spotted with blood and will I keep wondering how wed feel if it had been the Soviets, instead of us, who had been caught with their hand in the cookie jar? Our press would really have had a holiday if the shoe had been on the Soviets foot instead of on our own dirty feet. get bloodier. For years there have been those who have seen and told of such happenings. A month or so ago I wrote of the book Indecent Deception by Robert H. Doty, who is one of the few who not only did the dirt, but lived through it and then had the guts to write about it. Doty and others of his ilk such as Erlichman and Haldeman, should be listened to. They have been in the fire and for their own personal reasons have chosen to tell about it. All you would have to do is ask Hasenfrus, in that Central American jail. His salary, dont ever doubt it, was good ole U.S. money, well laundered in some Swiss bank. And Lt. Colonel North, who is taking the rap for the IranNicaraugan deal, will, like all good Marines, take his medicine and keep his mouth "shut. Same as Gordon Liddy. Ethel Bradford But; while his medicine means leaving his job in disgrace, he will be well paid. All as he says . . . know far good Marines ahead that they will be paid for such dangerous missions, and, if caught, can expect no recognition or assistance. All part of the original deal. ... if;,., Yes, we live in a Lets play Ostrich world, pretending that what we dont see wont hurt us. And TV has proven to be our enemy because it is so easy to believe that if its there on the screen, it has to be true. But, what each person should realize, is that every word on paper or that screen is the product of the person who put them there. Just like my words here in this column. And those images are often slanted by how much heshe gets paid, too. But it was our leaders who made those deals with Iran an act wed promised never to do, while, at the same time, telling the world what w : ' j do to any nation caught doing so. ... And, although one or two hostages won their rreedom, the whole world now knows iia! ,..ay more have and will lose theirs because of the consequences of what Reagan did . . . and tried to hide. lives "' We should never forget that Ronald Reagan was an actor, is an actor and the role which is the climax to his acting career is that of playing the President of the United States. They can piously say that the end justifies the means but I fall back on, not only the Bible, ( which many of us discount) but on the words of Ghandi, when asked if the end ever justifies the means, and he looked up and whispered, Never. Never, never, never. And then paused, and with tear-fille- d eyes, added, It will always come back to hurt you. This last month, however, he got his foot caught in the door and, while some are saying this may be his Watergate ... it just might well prove to be his Waterloo. Yeah, and through it all we must keep in mind to how wed feel if all this had come from the Soviet camp, and not ours. Reagan has not had long to wait for the reaction to come back to him. And his place in history as Two recipes, in the For Goodness Sake section had omissions in them. The complete recipes are given below. We regret any inconvenience these errors might have caused.
