With the arrival of cooler weather, the mind seems to turn back to school and new horizons, and one place to broaden those horizons is at Kearns Community School. So said Community School coordinator Joe Rickards while announcing new classes which begin next week at Kearns high. About 60 classes will be offered, ranging from floral arranging to candy making to dog obedience training, he noted. Most classes run one or two sessions weekly for nine weeks, he said. Registration may be handled at the school or by phone. Classes offered for the first time this term are dog obedience training, beginning and intermediate candy making, jazz and modern dance for teens and adults. Rickards noted that classes are also available in sign language, with Kearns the only school in the district offering that course.
