If Todd Price can gather such respect playing at a mere 223 pounds, what will he accomplish now that hes up to 245? Price played his high school football at Granite where he was a second team Yet, according to his brother Randy, little interest was shown in him by the areas major colleges because of his size. Price decided to attend the College inof Eastern Utah, located, terestingly enough, in Price. Despite the fact that he had never played offensive center, he was named to the second team his second year. Apparently, ISU couldn't be happier with its selection of Price. Offensive line coach Ed Sowash is full of praise of Todd both as a player and as a person. "Quickness and smarts are his biggest assets, Sowash noted in an article from the Idaho State Journal. He's so tough you can't keep him out of the lineup. He does what you ask and doesnt complain. Hes a fine young man, most importantly. Price stated that he feels pass blocking is one of his strong points, which fits in nicely with Idaho States passing philosophy. Coach Sowash called Price the "quarterback of our offensive line, making up to 60 percent of the calls on the line, telling the quards who to block on passing dowms. Price still considers Sait Lake his home and spent the summer here preparing for his senior year at ISU. Local fans will get a chance to see him play when the Bengals visit Ogden Nov. 3 for a game with Weber State. For area college coaches, it might give them a chance to watch the one that got away. 17-1- 4 SALT LAKE.
