Students in all junior high schools in Granite district were invited to display their work, according to teacher Ron Neilson. The display includes entries from Bennion, Bonneville, Brockbank, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Olympus, Valley, Wasatch and West Lake. Purpose of the exhibition is to encourage creativity, quality work by junior high age students and to give junior high students an opportunity to compare their work with that of their peers in an exhibition, as well as to acquaint the public with the quality of the work done by Granite etsilkscreening, ching, lithography and finished printed pieces. Also, color media, pastels, chalks, pencils, crayons; painting in oils, acrylics, watercolors, tile painting; photography; sculpture, water-clastone, wood, metal, plaster of paris. Crafts include jewelry, leather, stained glass, rugs, tapestries, etched glass, macrame, weaving. Also, ceramics made of fired clay or porcelain, glazed or unglazed and of murals, large, any media fitting size requirements. Judging the entries is Nate Winters one of the three authors of Art Is Elementary, the book accepted as the states art guide. He is a professor at the University of Utah.
