Its too bad more people in Magna (and Hunter) dont like to be entertained. Adams, Mark Anthony Taylor, Danny Keele, John Runnels III, Michelle Peterson, Kurt Bernhardt, Brent V. Liljenquist, Robin Youngberg, Brandon Anthony Shafer, Jane Devon Williams, Jenise Anderson and Richard Haddock. The show is one of the more delightful older comedies available for presentation, and nothing was spared by director Charlie Brown to make this a superb show. proDespite the blems at Cyprus high related to physical facilities, this show was done with all the right trappings, including sets that were an artistic success as well as functional. The costuming was excellent and the cast was well prepared to entertain. A word should also be said about the make-up- , which was outstanding. Brothers Jeff and Ted Davis were outstanding in their lead roles as two English gentlemen, who were actually siblings, but didnt know it. Each was outstanding in his own right, but they played exceptionally well off one another. As Algernon, Jeffs attitude and occasionally cracking voice added much to an excellent sense of comic timing and superb facial expression. Ted, as Jack, was equally effective in his more intense role. His pronounced body English was especially effective in the intimate theater surroundings, and he too used his face well. Stephanie Brown's Gwendolyn was entertaining and solid. She earned considerable chuckles with her antics behind her mothers back, and in her fight scene. Her lines delivery of several high-browas excellent. As the younger Cecily, Shauna Callahan was delightfully effective. Wide-eyeinnocence was her forte and she handled it well. She too was superb in the fight" scene. One would have thought Charlie Brown imported an adult to play Lady Bracknell, so effective was the characterization and make-uof Mia Clark. Her hatchet-faced portrayal added much to the success of the show. Calvin Crosby as Rev. Veteran lawmakers termed the session the toughest they had ever dealt with. During the first 18 days of the session, virtually no bills were passed. When action was finally taken during the last two days, action was for the most part rapid and without considerable debate. There were 103 bills passed, from among 345 that were introduced. There was a great deal of criticism both from the minority party and from lobbyists about the hours spent by the GOP in closed caucuses, likely to be another campaign issue.
