The Farmers were able to get back within four before Breinholt, Holman, Sheppick and Gust popped in key charity tosses to preserve the win. It took almost 20 minutes to play the final three minutes of the game. 57-4- 6 Open League Play Cyprus outboarded the visitors with Sheppick grabbing 14 to lead his team. Both teams visited the free throw line often in the tightly officiated contest. Granite connected on 21x34; Cyprus 23x35. Trost led all scorers with 28 (11, 6x10), while Curtis added 19 (7, 5x9) and Lee scored eight. Three Pirates were in double digits, led by Sheppick with 19 (7, 5x6). Holman (5, 6x10) and Gust scored 16 (6, 4x6). The difference in the contest was that Cyprus got more out of its deep bench. Wilson used 10 players while the game was still in doubt and all contributed. 39-3- - Bulldogs Nip West Friday SALT LAKE. West controlled the jump balls at the onset of the four periods and overtime. Both teams had six second shots. Judge led 0 after one period, while Dave Gisseman hit a shot at the buzzer to give West a 2 lead at the half.
