Any person entering upon privately-owne- land of another per- d son, firm or corporation without permission is subject to prosecution for trespassing. Refusal to immediately leave such land upon request, whether posted or not, is also a misdemeanor. Persons blocking or obstructing any entrance or exit to private property may also be charged. Persons who are convicted of Class B misdemeanors while in the act of hunting or fishing may have their license, certificate or permit relating to such activity revoked by the Division of Wildlife Resources and may not obtain another license for a full year, DWR officials warn. Private property shall be deemed posted properly when No Trespassing signs or a minimum of 100 square inches of fluorescent or bright yellow paint are displayed at all corners and along all roads, entertrails, gates and rights-of-waing such land. Posting must be confined to privately-owne- d land and is not valid in restricting access to public lands other than those controlled by public agencies posted as conservation measures. Landowners must notify the DWR in writing 14 days prior to any hunting and fishing season if they want the provision enforced that written permission is required to hunt or fish the property. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to permit hunting on privately-owne- d property may post Hunting By Permission Only signs. DWR will provide cards granting access to such lands to landowners upon permission. Verbal permission is sufficient for access to such lands. warn ess? raora oraiDSB as y All 83s Drastically Reduced! This often improves hunting as deer move to areas more easily hunted. October snowstorms at elevations over 6,000 feet are not uncommon. Relative humidity varies between 50 and 60 percent. Daytime temperatures often drop into the 30s and 40s. Hunters should, DWR officials say, prepare for the worst weather. Shovels, tire chains and foul weather equipment are recommended. Hunting vehicles should be protected with antifreeze. 4,995 V-- 73 CHEV 6,995 Blazer. 6,995 Diesel, full power, air cond., 16315- - , auto.. 2 82 JIMMY PLIS T 6 L. Permits will not be issued for transporting big game out of state that was killed on a resident permit. It is also unlawful to purchase, sell, offer for sale, barter or otherwise dispose of or obtain any big game or parts thereof, except heads, horns and antlers of legally taken animals. Heads, horns and antlers may not be sold or traded during the period of Aug. 15 through Dec. 15. Fresh hides of legally taken animals may be purchased, sold or traded any time. Big game animals which have been taken by legal methods may be transported anywhere in the state by the permit holder, provided the animal is properly tagged and the permittee has in his possession a valid big game or combination license and appropriate permit. Properly taken big game may be transported by an individual other than the permit holder, provided the animal is properly tagged and is accompanied by the hunting license and permit belonging to the individual who took the animal, and written authorization for transport of the animal listing the date of kill, location of kill, species and sex of the animal, origin and destination of such transportation, the signature of the hunter killing the animal and the name of the individual transporting the animal. Hunters should be aware of big game tagging and transporting regulations. All animals must be tagged immediately after kill and before being transported. It is unlawful to transport an animal from the place of kill unless the tag is detached from the permit, properly notched to correspond with the date of kill and the physical characteristics of the animal, and securely attached to the animal. It is unlawful to notch more than one date or sex or to mutilate the tag and is illegal to hunt or pursue game with a tag detached from the permit. The tag must remain with the major portion of the meat until the animal is entirely consumed. It is not legal for any butcher or owner or employee of a locker or storage plant to receive for processing or storage the carcass of any big game unless it has attached to it the proper tag. Possession of an untagged animal is a Class A misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and one year in jail. The carcass of big game animals must be transported with evidence of its sex attached - head or sex organs. It is also unlawful to waste or permit to be wasted or spoiled any big game. Big game may be exported from the state only when accompanied by a valid nonresident big game hunting license and proper permit cor 487-549- 1 We've Got Your Truck LOCKER BEEF AVAILABLE 6419 SOUTH STATE SANDY 9425 SOUTH 700 EAST TOOELE 160 NO.
