Richard Plante led a strong Midget defense which allowed only one Bingham first down in the game. Plante had six unassisted tackles and an interception. Quarterback James Garner scored both touchdowns in the Bantam B team's 12 8 victory over Brighton. Dan Overman was cited as a defensive standout after recovering a key fumble. The Mitey Mites kept their record untarnished with a 13 2 victory over Skyline. Shilo Case and Shawn Crowther scored touchdowns for the Mitey Mites. Brent Hutto, Dave Maynes, Dusty Shepard and Tom Martin were all cited for strong defensive play. Clint Davis scored two touchdowns and Stan Clark added another as the Peewee . A team defeated Skyline Cody Littlefield, Mike Packer and Chris King also had excellent offensive days for the Peewees. T upou Hola led the defense with a blocked punt and several unassisted tackles. Jerry Curtis and Matt Bingham were also cited for good defensive play. The Midget A squad lost to Skyline 18-despite good defensive play by linemen Ben Cordova and John Larsen. The remainder of Kearns entries all had tough days against Tooele with the Midgets getting shut out 13 0, the Mitey Mites losing 20 6 and the Juniors dropping a decision by the same score.
