Wright on the occasion of his 90th birthday will be celebrated this evening, June 23rd, at the Wright home, 2767 Marcus Road. Mr. and Mrs. Wright moved from Salt Lake to Granger in 1943 and since then Estel has been active in both community and church. He and pioneered in in the Granger area when none of the Salt Lake banks would venture to make a loan for that area. Estel is Chairman Emeritus of American Savings and Loan Association and was successful in convincing them of the future in the Granger area. Revel in It, too. But then, just as strong, there's a part of me that's pure "Alice-si- t by the fire" and I'm happy doing it, too. I settle down, get out the soup kettle, dig in the garden, pick all the good stuff growing out there and stuff it religiously in bottles, the drier and freezer. Estel L. I bake bread, freeze the loaves, bake a chicken and divide it into the right size packages for a meal and freeze that. Estel recently retired after 60 years working with American Savings and 32 years with the Salt Lake County Water Conservancy District where he was chairman of the board for many years. The honored man keeps busy in the management of two real estate firms he owns in West Valley, American Housing Corp. and Wright Realty, Inc. He is also listed in Whos Who in American 40th edition. Estel works daily on his two acres of garden and pasture land is presently on the board of Research Industries. Nancy Treadwell was maid of honor with Marsha Herron and Christie Jensen as matrons of honor. Lisa Shaw, Natalie Day, Liz Jones, Kaylyn Gonzales and Margaret Brown were bridesmaids. Flower girls were Jamien Herron and Jennifer Shaw. Jeni Barnes and Candy Monteer attended the guest book while Gayle Loutensock assisted wdth the gifts. A wedding breakfast was held at the Hotel Utah and a reception was later given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brewer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Barlow of Salt Lake. She graduated from Cottonwood high and attended Dixie College. The groom is the son of Mrs. Beverly Craig and the late Earl J. Green of Salt Lake. He graduated from Carmel high in California, and attended Monterey Peninsula College. He also filled an LDS mission in Thailand. Kim Barlow was the maid of honor with Wendy Barlow and Carie Naegle serving as attendants. Tiffany Barlow and Amy Naegle were flower girls while Lora Jones attended the guest book. . Best man was Scott Jeppsen and helping with ushering were Jim Ockey, Ron Green, Kerry Barlow, Brian, Steven and Danny Barlow and Daniel Naegle.
