Murray was getting good position underneath and boxed out well in outrebounding the Panthers. The Spartans showed more patience in their pattern offense and have gradually improved their shooting touch. The Murray mentor also was pleased with his teams n defense against the quick Panthers. The brightest spot was the play of Dan Frazier. After playing well in games, Frazier shone in the region opener. He scored 26 points on nine field goals and 8x9 from the line. He also collected 10 rebounds. Keith Chapman was the dominant factor on the boards, pulling down 14 rebounds. But, outside of Frazier, the Spartan offense was limited to six points each out of Keith and Phil Chapman, Rick Bentz and Simpson in the loss.
