Show ' Out Our Window . 2g . t Suzanne Faerber Becomes Mrs. Danny Shumway In Rites 'I tke 'Bwdia'ut I've been so domestic lately it reel back in disbe-lie- t staggers me. and inwardly question, "Can this be me? Is it me who is bustling around hearth and home like some busy little 18th century scullery maid?" Suzanne Faerber and Danny Shumway exchanged wedding vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December wed16, and were then honored at a at the held Heidleberg breakfast ding restaurant in Farmington. The newlyweds also welcomed friends and relatives that evening at a reception at The Old Meeting I than that loved it. I And then . . . one day during the Holidays I was left with an entire turkey that either had to be eaten, frozen or sbon tossed out to the dogs. So, late one night, I And I ruefully admit, "Yes 'tis me, 'tis me. And a quite familiar part of me, too." I've known this Ethel who cooks, bakes, sews, stores food like some squirrel preparing for a hard winter, for many many years. "met" this part of me during the early years of my marriage and became aware that there are "two" of me. Now, I'm not schitzophrenic . . . do believe . . . but there most certainly are two sides to my make ... all home made, and House. Suzanne is the eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. LeRoy G. Faerber of Murray. She is a graduate of Murray high and has also attended BYU. Danny is presently a student at d BYU where he has entered studies and has filled an LDS mission to Hong Kong. Best man was John Durtschi and the head ushers were David Von and Matt Faerber. Greeting people at the door were Beverly Rust and Raili Hanson, while Lori Faerber, Chris Rudolph, Jean Hinckley and Susan Durtschi helped serve. cussed and cussed, while little by little I put size portions of turkey, dressing and gravy into packets and froze them. one-me- pre-me- I I up. It was almost three a.m. when I felt so wholesome finished, but that was sure someone would have given me a medal for virtue if the right ones had only known of my actions. But by then, however, was really into domesticity. I I I One side of me wants to get out and see what's happening and, if there's naught happening, stir things around until something does happen. That's the Ethel who's in the front lines . . . well, maybe of ERA the second line and will fight to prove my rights as a woman are as valid as if I were a man. Boy, oh boy, I ran out of bread and even made my own. Put all the good things in it, too, like whole wheat flour, bran, soy flour, molasses, honey, raisins and nuts. I brag, but it's out of this ... I take the very pragmatic view that because my body has glands am not infercalled ovaries ior (or superior) to some other person whose body has glands called testicles. As meaningless as saying the having or not having whiskers makes one more or less worthy. It's a lot of foolishness over the very pleasant matter of providing for the continuation of the human specie. I But that's not "where" world. Vows With Kenneth And then, not because needed to, or had to, but just because I wanted to and had the ingredients on hand . . . made a great big pan of lasagne, and when it was cold . . . cut it into portions and froze it. I Repeating nuptial vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 19 were Stacey Lee Houghton and Kenneth R. Staley. Houghton of Salt Lake and is a graduate of Cottonwood high. Stacey has also been a student at LDS Business College. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Royce W. Staley, has filled a mission to Tallahassee, Florida for the LDS I Oh, I can just see myself, in a most suave, sophisticated way, inviting a friend in for dinner and offhandedly giving them the choice of Chuck-A-Ram- turkey and trimmings, home made bread, etc. etc. I am today. Today I'm into the pots, pans and sewing basket, because Christmas I must admit . . . does this to me. I dream that they could never know that such miracles are not every day occurrences around me. No one . . . that is . . . except most everyone who knows me. At one time my Christmas tree was straight off the counters and nothing as gauche as hand-maditems came near it. Oh . . . where are the snows of yesteryear? for this year there was absolutely nothing on my tree that wasn't made by hand. And, if not by me, by someone else. Oh, yes the lights. bow to that weakness, but other And they . . . the ungrateful things . . . will probably only yawn, and in a most blase way say, "Oh, you've been in one of your domestic moods again. How nice." And I'll agree, "Yes, yes, I have. If it lasted forever I'd die of boredom, but for the time being . . . it's great." ... e .1 R. Staley church and is a graduate of Cotton- wood high.
