Show AGED 1119 N GOES TO HIS REST on saturday morning the tired spirit of joshua holland one of the prominent residents of perry passed to his rest mr air holland had been bed fast for many weary months during which his form wasted away to almost nothing and death was a sweet release to him the cause was general debility mr air holland was born in engi england aal something like seventy eight years ago ile he accepted the gospel in his native land and emigrated to utah in 1864 ile he was waa a plasterer by profession and has lived in perry for a great many years during which time he has followed his profession andris work is in evidence in almost every part of this county ills his wife died nine years ago arid and there are seven children surviving their father funeral services which were very largely attended were held in the perry tabernacle monday afternoon at I 1 bishop morris peters presided fed and made a few opening remarks other speakers were james young richard thorn heber perry J W hoopes phillip quayle writ win horsley and pres NV C horsley the musical numbers rendered by the choir were the hymns abide with me 1 I need thee every hour and when first the glorious light of truth between speakers mr and mrs john p roberts sang a duette the prayers were by V F davie davia and nelson A long cortege accompanied the remains to the cemetery in this city were wera they were ere interred |
