DURING THE AFTER A hold-ou- t Rocky gets his wifes blessing and the fight is set up. Again the fight scenes in the movie are realistic with a little touch of slow motion thrown in for good measure. The finish is one to watch, no Im not going to reveal it. This movie is the type that people either love or hate in 'something goes Rocky. THE MOVIE makers out west should make a decision when they make these sports movies. Should they make the actual events realistic or bring in amateurs to portray the professionals. One movie in the making about football offers the players, professionals, a bonus for realistic action. Already in her list of ac- complishments of placing in the top three include the Emigration Canyon race, 12 miles; the Granger run which covered eight miles; and then the Draper run of 20 miles. She readily admits though that to her, the greatest accomplishment is completing the 50 mile series. You run races over 5, 10, 15 and 20 miles. Its really a grueling series. HER RUNNING schedule during the week coinsists of running six miles a day during the weekends and then a long run, about 14 miles on the weekend. I usually do my running at 6 a.m. and run the full six miles, other times Ill run four in the morning and then after work run the other two miles." Usually on the weekend though Annie is running in some road race in the state. There is at least one race in the state each week and sometimes many more. I ran in three last week." THERE ARE now five track clubs in the state. Annie belongs to the Salt Lake club has which about 300 members. The largest club in the state is the Beehive Club which has around a thousand members. Annie is somewhat unique among the runners in that she is a diabetic. Most diabetics think that's a reason not to be active but the running certainly helps me. She went on to add that she always carries carbohydrates with her when she runs in case of an insulin reaction. HER JOB right now is the Inservice and Patient Educa- -' tion Coordinator at Lakeview Hospital. One of her functions is to instruct patients who are diagnosed as diabetic. T dont push running on them push some physical activity. Most are like me, they deny having the diabetes and become depressed about it, but then most accept it and the physical activity. You could compare Annie to the main character in the movie Golden Girl. In the movie the gal has a diabetic condition and according to Annie they overplay it a bit. I liked the movie in that it shows a diabetic out running but and participating Hollywood sure takes over after that. but I do MS. HOLT is from the Salt Lake City area, she attended East High. She didnt participate in sports because, in those days the girls werent supposed to do anything physical besides the Pep Club. She got her start in jogging by running with a friend who was training for a race. Currently Annie is working as the person in charge for the publicity for the Bountiful Chamber of Commerce race in September. The race will cover six cities in the county and we hope to get a lot of participants from this area. held back. , JACK CAME on strong in 1978, when some thought he was finished. The calm that so often accompanies dawn or late night at the beach in summer is explained by the fact that the land loses its great heat many hours after sunset, thereby FIRST OF all theres a coaching change at Bountiful High this football season. Ron Moore left the school to take over the job as head basketball coach at Uintah High. This left a position open for a sophomore football coach and assistant wrestling coach.
