They are: Lisa Marie Tow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Tow of 128 Barrington Way in Layton and Chad Allen Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Harris, form-merl- y of Clearfield and now living in Ogden. Probert of 1075 N. 1390 W. in Layton. ar called to west Kaysville on Tuesday, Jan. 6 to the farm of Dick and Joe F. Hill, where their haystack was on fire. Kaysville Fires Kaysville city firemen battled two big fires in the Kaysville area during the past week. ON NEW Years Day 21 firemen fought a three-hou- r blaze at the home of Afton Higgs, 148 North 100 West, causing an $18,000 damage. The blaze was reported to have started Twenty-tw- through faulty electrical firemen o sponded to the call at 12:02 a.m. and fought the blaze till 6 a.m. The fire was caused by spontaneous combustion and burned 300 tons of hay with an estimated loss of $25,000. REPORT WAS given by Kaysville City Fire Chief Jim Dotson, np wiring. Ms. Higgs was in the kitchen mixing bread when her fire alarm went off and as she turned, the entire northeast comer of her home was on fire, involving all the upstairs. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hess and children from Centerville. Returning from a seven day bus tour that included the Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif, were Don and Betty Jean Hill, Kaysville, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Tolman and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Landis, all of Clearfield. In addition to the parade they visited other places of interest before returning home Jan. 3. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Walters and three children of Billings, Mont, were holiday visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Green. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Austin and their children: Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hovey and family of Kaysville, and Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Howard and children of Layton, attended the funeral service of Mr. Austins father, H.G. Austin, who died Dec. 30 in Lehi. Mr. Austin was 82 years old. He was buried in Orem. Dean Austin of Seattle, Wash., a son and a nephew, Austin Holmes of Jackson, Wyo., also came for the funeral. Bishop and Mrs. Gary Porter and family spent the holidays in St. George with her mother, Mrs. Lola McArthur. Mrs. Doris Ball visited Monday in Layton with her twin sister, Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell, who is convalescing after being confined to the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. David Sanders and family and many relatives attended the blessing and naming of the infant daughter of Jeri Christensen and Kevin Christensen who was blessed and named Amber Lee on Jan. 4 in the Kaysville 8th Ward Fast Day meeting. ' Amber Lee was born on Nov. 19 at the Lakeview Hospital. She was blessed and named by her great uncle, Terry Bolyard of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. David Sanders of Kaysville are the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Van Sander, Kaysville, are the Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Johnson and children attended a holiday family party in Springville with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Fullmer with 20 family members attending. Mr. and Mrs. Garth King entertained at a dinner for their family. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Scott King and children of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Buchanan and family of South Weber; Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Miller and children, Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. Jim King and son David, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Lance Robinson and Brooke of Bountiful, and two grandmothers, Mrs. Ann Wood and Mrs. Phyllis King both of Clearfield.
