EXHIBITS IN OGDEN Bucilla S0ftCX - LAYTON Annette Johnson of 460 W. 1875 N., Layton will be exhibiting her original paintings in the 1 iffin Room at ZCM1 in Ogden during the month of September. MRS. JOHNSON favors landscapes in her paintings. On exhibit will be 20 oil paintings. Also included in the collection will be colored pencil drawings, water colors, pen and ink and pencil drawings. The wife of a career Air Force officer, Mrs. Johnson started painting as a hobby at the age of 18. After her marriage, she again took up painting. For the past three years she has been concentrating on oil painting. SHE HAS studied oil painting under Lee Parkinson, Wil- liam Alexander and Karen Andre. She studied drawing, watercolors and ceramics under several professors at Weber State College. Annette grew up in Califor nia. She has lived in Pennsyl- vania. California and Alaska. THE MOTHER of three boys, she loves crafts and has definate ability along the lines of arts and crafts. She has taught classes in tatting and needlepoint. Mrs. Johnson tried tole painting but she found she needed something more. This is the reason she returned to painting with oils.
