There are two hospitals in Sanpete County: Sanpete Valley Hospital in Ml. Pleasant, and Gunnison Valley Hospital in Gunnison. Sanpete Valley Hospital is approximately 21 miles from Manti, and Gunnison Valley is about 14 miles from Manti. The Ephraim-Mant- i Ambulance Association provides emergency medical assistance from6 I0p.ni. each night of the Pageant at the Temple grounds. Elder Mark Anderson and the Seventies of the Manti Utah Stake will try to provide answers to these and many other questions asked by those interested in studying Mormon beliefs this year at the Mormon Miracle Pageant. The Seventies, whose specific responsibility in the church is with missionary work, have established a display area on the park law n w cst of the Temple grounds. Included in the display are pictures, photos, and information on such subjects as, Mormons are Christians", The Book of Mormon", Articles of Faith", and Church History." At two locations in this area, television sets will be set up with video cassette recorders to present films and information on various subjects relating to the history or doctrine of the LDS Church. The program features art work by Manti resident Carl Purcell and includes a numberof paintings by other Mormon artists. Even a print of a C.C. A. Christensen painting is featured on the first page. The program insert lists the names of all those who are directly involved with the production of the Pageant. In the publication purchasers will also find a full-col- Pageant brief history of the settlement of Sanpete Valley, a message from Church President Spencer W. Kimball and one from Utah Governor Scott Mathcson. and information on events in the history of the LDS Church. Several color scenes from the Pageant itself are included in the publication, which will be available at the Temple grounds for S2.00 per copy. The program was developed under the direction of a committee headed by Wilbur Lund, consisting of Mary Peacock, Carl Purcell, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kclsch, and Eleanor Madsen. JfCuseli j The Seventies will operate the information centers located between the old Visitors Center and the Relief Soccitv building from noon until 9 p.m. every day of the Pageant. Guided tours will be conducted through the display areas every 15 minutes. Church films will be shown approximately every half hour. Elder Anderson says the of the open-ai- r information centers is an experiment occasioned by the closing of the Visitors' Center at the top of the Temple Hill while the Temple is being remodeled. The Sev cntics will also assist with the provision of foreign language interpreters for those who wish the Pageant message translated into their native tongue. Mike Bawden is in charge of this vital service again this year. Anyone desiring translation service should ask at the Manti Stake Seventies' information center or at the tables manned by the Seventies of the other stakes in the region, located on the Pageant grounds.
