Show Mssngr-Entrpris- Community Double wedding Rasmussen sisters plan receptions for Nov, 12 Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rasmussen, Manti, announce the marriage of their daughter Debra to Todd Kent Newman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent A. Newman, Bothwell, on Nov. 11, 1983. They will be married in the Logan LDS Temple. They will be honored at a reception at the Linderhof Lodge in Sterling on Nov. 12 from p.m. Debra graduated from Manti High School and LDS Seminary. She graduated from Snow College with a secretarial degree. She graduated from the LDS Institute. She sang in the LD Singers for two years. She served two years as the stake Young Adult president. She is presently attending the Beau LaReine College of Beauty in Brigham City, and will graduate in March. 7-- 9 Todd graduated from Bear River High School and LDS Seminary. He is an Eagle Scout. He served an LDS deaf mission in California, Indiana and Arizona. Todd works with his father on a dairy farm. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rasmussen, Manti, announce the marriage of their daughter Cynthia to Cameron M. Vaughn, son of Ms. Judy Barndt and Mr. James Vaughn of Salt Lake City. They will be married Nov. 10, 1983 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They will be honored at a reception at the Linderhof Lodge, p.m. Sterling, on Nov. 12 from Cynthia graduated from Manti High School and served a year as FHA president. She graduated from Seminary. She also graduated from the LDS Business College with high honors. She was president of her sorority. She is presently working as executive secretary in the First Security Bank in Salt Lake City. Cameron graduated from West High School and LDS Seminary where he served a year as president. He was voted "Student of the Month at West High and played on the football team. He participated in orchestra and pep band, concert band and jazz band. He sang in the a cappella choir. He was listed in Whos Who in Music. The couple will make their home in Bothwell. Brenda Nixon announces He fulfilled an LDS mission to Australia. He received a leadership Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Nixon, Covered Bridge Canyon, announce the coming marriage of their daughter Brenda to Charles Warren Towt, son of Mrs. Twyla Pittsinger and the late Jack H. Towt of Salt Lake City, on Nov. 11, 1983 in the Jordan River LDS Temple in West Jordan, Utah. Brenda attended Spanish Fork High School and LDS Seminary, graduating with honors. She also attended BYU majoring in theater costume design. Charles attended Manti High School and served an LDS mission to Tennessee. He also attended BYU in the ROTC program. Following their marriage a reception and buffet dinner will be held that evening at the home of the brides parents in Covered Bridge Canyon Lot 62. She served a mission to the Navajos and Hopis in the Holbrook Arizona LDS Mission. She was employed as a service representative by Mountain Bell. Miss Madsen is survived by her parents, Murray; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Dale Lee (Linda) Bennett, Carla Madsen, both of West Jordan; Mrs. William (Karen) West, Guam; Harlan Madsen, West Valley City; and several nieces and nephews. Mary Prettyman some time visiting at Pherns home during the past few years and was loved by those who knew her. Phern has been in California the last month to be with her mother, but expects to be back in Ephraim sometime next week. Irene Jensen Beal Funeral services for Irene Jensen Beal, 93, who died on Nov. 6, 1983 in Salt Lake City, were held in the Colonial Mortuary chapel, Salt Lake City, on Nov. 9, 1983. Interment was in the Manti City Cemetery. Mrs. Beal was bom in Manti, Utah, on Aug. 31, 1890, to Jens and Christine Marie Fredricksen Jensen. She married Ira Marius Allen Beal on July 15, 1908, in Emery, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Beal preceded his wife in death on April 6, 1969. Mrs. Beal was a charter member of the Ml. Harold D, Maylett Funeral services for Harold D. Maylett, 66, who died in Tooele, were held in the North Tooele Stake Center on Nov. 9, 1983. Interment followed in a Tooele cemetery. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Franck Maylett, Harold D. Maylett was born in Fountain Green, Utah. He attended Manti schools and graduated from Manti High School. the friends and relatives requests no He married Katherine Wilson, Gunnison, and their marriage was later solemnized in an LDS temple. Mr. Maylett was an active member of the LDS Church. He had been employed at Dugway Proving Grounds. He is survived by his wife, Tooele; two sons; one daughter; and several grandchildren. Mrs. Ralph (June) Lund of Ephraim and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lindsay of Grayling, Mich. She has two Mrs. Marie Lund of Nephi, and Mrs. Alice Goodrow, Houghton, Mich. Shepherd of Levan. The baby was named Justin by his father during sacrament services in the Ephraim Fifth Ward Sunday. She is survived by her daughter, Louise, of Spokane, her son Dean, of Aspen, Colorado and seven grandchildren: Susan, Gregory, and Shannon of Spokane; Kimble of Jacksonville, Florida; Christofer of Seattle, Wash., Mikel of Austin, Texas; and Kathryn in military service in Okinawa, Japan. Mrs. Jones had resided with her (Louise and daughter and James Borg) in Spokane for the past nine years. She was bom in Manti. Utah. February 19, 1897 to Jedcdiah Grant and Hannah Ellen Merriam Crawford. She married William Richards Jones Sept. 4. 1919 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Jones graduated from the Manti High School in the Class of 1917. She was a member of the Ladies Literary Club of Manti, of which she served a term as president; The Hopeless Club; the American Legion Auxilliary; and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Four boys and four girls now even things up at the home of Bob and Annette McCaul with the arrival of a new son on Friday, September 30. The baby was born at the Sanpete Valley Hospital and weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. Taking their turn at tending the new brother are Tammy, Teresa, Jonathan, Korina, Elizabeth, Joseph and Parris. The new baby was born Friday. Sept. 23 in the Sanpete Valley Hospital and weighed 7 lbs. She married Sorcn O. Sorensen of Ephraim. July 29. 1908. He died Lura Crawford 10, 1983 Justin William Thomson still living. They are: Mrs. Reed (Gwen) Bench, Orem; Howard S. Soicnsen, St. George, and Mrs. Dean (Kathryn) Frischknccht, Corvallis. Ore. Three of their seven children are are Mr. and Her grandparents Mrs. Mary (Mamie) Tooth Sorensen will be feted on her 95th birthday at an open house to be held at the home of her daughter and son-ilaw. Reed and Gwen Bench at 144 East 1200 South. Orem, on Sunday. Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Sorensen was born in Manti Nov. 9, 1888 to James Chadwick and Ancs Reid Tooth. She was the fifth of 13 children. May 30. 1966. The couple will reside in Denver. Colorado. Funeral services for Stacy E. Madsen, 25, who died in Ephraim, Utah, of cardiac arrest aggravated by an asthmatic attack on Nov. 4, 1983, were held in the Murray Second Ward chapel on Nov. 8, 1983. Interment was in the Murray City Cemetery. Miss Madsen was visiting in Ephraim at the time of her death. The Ephraim-ManAmbulance Assn, responded to an emergency call, but efforts to save her life were unsuccessful. Miss Madsen was bom on Oct. 14, 1958, in Salt Lake City to Hazen and A daughter, the first child for David and Molly Lindsay, was born in the Gunnison Valley Hospital, on Oct. 25.
