She went to assist in the home after the birth of a new baby daughter Julianne Burnham. While there she enjoyed a visit to the museum at the LaBrea tar pits, a visit to the Harrison Elementary School for an awards program and later an open house, and attended general conference at the LaVern Stake Center (where it was received via sattelite.) Elma Peterson returned recently after spending three weeks in Walnut, California. While there she attended the wedding of her grandson Brad Stubbs, son of Ray and Marlene Stubbs. Others who attended from Ephraim were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Stubbs, Norma Olson and David and Pauline Larsen and Grant Stubbs from Salina. The Easter weekend provided an opportunity for a reunion for the family of the late Reuel and Devota Anderson at their daughter, Elmas home, in Ephraim. The group enjoyed visiting, doing genealogy and making plans for a future reunion. Participating were Pearl Mtadack, Reno, Nev.; Irla Duble, Sacramenti, Calif.; Doris Chamber-lai- n and two sons, Spearville, Kansas; Evan and Donna Anderson, Ogden and Lee Anderson, Salt Lake City. Glenn Bailey returned home Sunday afternoon after undergoing surgery at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Wednesday morning. He is reported to be improving. With him at the hospital were his wife, Barbara and sons, Kenneth, Denver, Colo.; Tom and John, Ephraim and daughter, Mary Lou Gray, Denver, Colorado. Kenneth and Mary Lou came Wednesday and returned home Saturday. Carole Nielsen entertained at Easter dinner Sunday afternoon with many family members present for the festive occasion. Craig and Jerry Nielson and family and Kaye and Rick Nuffer and family came from Salt Lake City and spent the weekend with their mother in Ephraim. Joining them for Easter fun Sunday were Maurice and Ardell Nielsen, Joe and Erlynn Nielsen, Karl and Jolene Nielsen, all of Ephraim and Danny and Mary Hill and family from Gunnison. Weekend visitors at the home of LuGene Nielson were Randy Nielson, Rock Springs, Wyoming and Wendy Bright and daughter. Tiffany of Evanston, Wyoming. Sunday the group enjoyed an Easter dinner at the home of Randy's grandparents, Ferald and Maccl Anderson. Other visitors at the Anderson home Sunday were Orlin and Julia Lewis and three children. Heather, Celecia and Aliena of Lewisville, Idaho. Julia is a niece of the Andersons. Gayton and Fonda Stout returned recently from a trip to Cupertino, California where they cared for their granddaughters Jody and Kelli Stout while their parents, Gary and JoAnn Stout were on a vacation in Portugal and surrounding areas. After Gary and JoAnn returned home they took their parents to Citrus Heights to see the new home into which they were moving soon. Enroute home Gayton and Fonda stopped in Las Vegas for a visit with Gene and Lorraine Byron and a sister, Flora Dastrup, who had spent the winter there. Flora came back to Utah with them. After visiting with her son in Salt Lake City, she returned to her home in Altamont, Utah. Mrs. Vonda Christensen returned home last week after flying to California to attend funeral services for her granddaughter, Laurie Gunderson Anderson, of Santa Ana, in California. Dorothy underwent major surgery at the Yuma Regional medical Center in Yuma Wednesday. She is reported to be doing well. Visitors Friday and Saturday last at the home of Vonda Christensen were Halbert and Carol Christensen of Redding, California. The couple had accompanied their son, Curtis, to Provo where he entered the Missionary Training Center Thursday, prior to filling an LDS mission in Dublin, Ireland. Halbert is presently serving in the stake presidency in Redding.
